Meet the Judges
A jury panel comprising top experts from the Food and Beverage industry will meet by the beginning of June to review all the entries and score them.
They will select the finalists in each category, to be revealed soon after the meeting.

The HAPPETITE Awards winners will be revealed during a ceremony attended by 300+ influential professionals of the restaurant industry during a ceremony to be held during the Happetite, 1-2 July 2020, at MiCo, Milan, Italy.

This category rewards the new restaurant with the most original concept, launched over the past 2 years, which has shown an originality through the singularity of the product, innovative positioning, and integration of new technologies, interior design and architecture (shop fit-out), advertising campaign. The concept must be viable, expandable and profitable. 10 restaurants / points of sales open maximum.
BEST RESTAURANT CHAIN OF THE YEAR
This category rewards the best established restaurant chain of the year, with more than 10 restaurants currently in activity, which has shown an originality through the singularity of the product, innovative positioning, and integration of new technologies, interior design and architecture (shop fit-out), as well as a steady growth in figures. The concept must be viable, expandable and profitable. Minimum of 10 points of sales open is required.
BEST FOODTECH SOLUTION
Innovation is increasingly affecting the Restaurant industry today. Restaurants must rethink every part of the global experience they offer to the consumer. This category is about celebrating the greatest innovations in foodservice and catering technology. Judges will be looking at how those initiatives or solutions will enhance the guest experience, reinforce the efficiency of the restaurant in terms of costs reduction (i.e.: cost reduction per dish, time saving for guest and preparation, wasted food reduction, etc..), sales & footfall increase, customer loyalty. Project launched within the past 3 years.
This category is open to restaurants, start-ups, and service providers.
BEST SUSTAINABLE RESTAURANT CONCEPT
Organic food sales are growing fast and serving organics allow increasing restaurant profits. However, consumers think organic and eco-friendly is better than organic alone or eco-friendly alone. Combining the two elements is a way to maximize restaurant's potential. This category is about celebrating initiatives of restaurants operating in a way that preserves the natural environment. Concept launched over the past 3 years.
BEST ETHICAL THINKING RESTAURANT
In the today fast-moving world, the social impact of actions and strategies of any business player in any business field is a key factor to help transforming the world into a better place. This category is about celebrating initiatives/campaigns of restaurants operating in a way that brings social value for the community and/or their employees, that promotes social equity, enhances the lives of people and communities and contributes to economic prosperity for shareholders, employees and all the stakeholders. Campaign launched over the past 3 years. You will be asked to describe the benefits and impacts of the initiative on an employee perspective, and on a community perspective.
BEST MENU INNOVATION
Consumers are always interested in trying new experiences and flavors, especially millennials, and keep demanding more sophisticated food offering. Constant menu innovation is a key for brands. At the same time, the consumers are looking for healthier and traceable products, with production methods respecting the environment. This category rewards the most innovative menu offer. Menu launched over the past 3 years.
BEST DELIVERY EXPERIENCE
Today more than ever, the demand for high-speed delivery services and aggregators is clearly identified. This category celebrates the most performing solutions driving efficiency and delivering unprecedented convenience/experience for customers. Judges will be looking at how those initiatives or solutions will enhance the consumer experience and reinforce the efficiency of the restaurant in terms of sales, customer loyalty and growth opportunities. Concept launched over the past 3 years.
This category is open start-ups, aggregators, restaurants chains and service providers.
